Dear Friend,
I am excited to tell you about an incredible cruise we are planning for 2008, a cruise that offers remarkable opportunities to visit and experience destinations that are amongst the most sought after in the world. While 2008 may seem a long way off, this cruise has a size limitation that could result in it being a sell-out before you might think.
A while back, I was sent a preview of Princess Cruises’ Europe itineraries for 2008. One cruise immediately stood out from the others, and I have chosen it for my 2008 President’s Cruise.
On June 5, 2008, we’ll depart the U.S. for the “eternal city” Rome, where we’ll board the newest ship in the Princess Cruises “mini” fleet, the beautiful Royal Princess. I call this their mini fleet because within their fleet of new megaliners of 100,000 tons and up, Princess has added three new 30,000-ton ships. This is the size ship that many veteran cruisers started out cruising on and still love to this day – ships where the service was much more personalized and you could get to know the crew and your fellow cruisers.
Back in the 70’s and 80’s, folks were cruising on ships of this size with twelve hundred or so fellow cruisers, versus 3,000 or more on some of the mammoth ships of today. The arrival of Royal Princess and her sister ships hails the return of that sense of intimacy and personalized service that has been disappearing from most cruise lines. Princess has taken this return to small ship cruising one step further by having just 355 luxuriously appointed staterooms – most with private balconies – for just 710 guests onboard.
In addition to visiting ports in 9 different countries, we’ll cruise seven different waterways: the Mediterranean Sea…the Strait of Gibraltar…the Atlantic Ocean…the English Channel…the North Sea…the Kiel Canal…and the Baltic Sea.
Princess Cruises, with whom we’ve cruised ten times, is well known for outstanding entertainment, fine dining and exceptional service. Some of our fondest cruise memories are of our days aboard TV’s original “Love Boat”, the 626-passenger Pacific Princess, and we’re happy to see Princess bringing ships of that size back into their fine fleet.
Our 16-day “Classical Europe” cruise is priced from $3,940 per person, double occupancy, plus government fees of $185.13. Airfare is additional and is available from Princess Cruises for approximately $1,400. Ask about our group airfare with free Stockholm city tour and overnight stay. Please refer to the "Cruise Package Rates and Pricing" section below for the optional hotel packages in both Rome and Stockholm.
Now is the time to hold your place on this incredible cruise. As word spreads about this beautiful new ship and itinerary, it will not take long for Princess to fill 355 staterooms.

We hope to see you on this great cruise!!
Warm regards,
